Each image is downloadable at the best quality now available, and is accompanied with the shot information, such as mission, date on which the photo was taken or released, a title, a description, etc. (read more about this project).

Alan Shepard is flying a C-130 from Grand Turk Island back to Cape Canaveral on February 23, 1962. The plane is carrying John Glenn, who had just completed a 48-hour medical debriefing following the MA-6 three-orbit flight.
