Astronauts Gus Grissom (left) and John Young have a good laugh on the morning of the Gemini-3 launch as astronaut Wally Schirra, command pilot for the backup crew, greeted the prime crewmembers dressed in an old and somewhat battered Mercury spacesuit and told them: "In case either one of you don't want to go this morning, I'm your backup".
