John Glenn tests balance mechanism performance

Astronaut John H. Glenn Jr.'s balance mechanism (semi-circular-canals) is tested by running cool water into his ear and measuring effect on eye motions (nystagmus). This view is labeled a modified calonic test. (Source: JSC)
