Mission Control during Gemini 4 launch

Astronauts Roger Chaffee (standing) and Gus Grissom are shown in the Mission Control Center prior to the launch of the Gemini-4 mission. They are serving as spacecraft communicators, responsible to the flight directors for voice contact with the crew concerning the mission flight plan, flight procedures, mission rules and spacecraft systems.
