Gemini-4 command pilot Jim McDivitt is shown in the gondola of a realistic manned space flight simulator, developed by the Astronautics Division of Ling-Temco-Vought of Dallas, Texas. The unusual device, coupled with a room full of computers, makes it possible for the astronaut to experience many facets of space flight without leaving the ground.
